The 2003 was a great fair. On Friday, the attendance was a record with 36,875 attendees. On Saturday, we had 69,345. On Sunday, it was also a record with 90,870 and on Monday we had 32, 887 with a total attendance of 229,977 attendees.

The weather cooperated for most of the weekend. Monday was the only rainy day but it didn’t dampen anyone’s enthusiasm.

There were plenty of things to see and do. There were special contests like the mustache and beard and the corn on the cob eating contests. There were plenty of acts on stage like Weird Al Yankovic, the Fifth Dimension, The Marvelettes, The Platters, The Drifters, The Coasters and Lee Greenwood. We had De’Anna the Hypno Chick, The Old Tyme Fiddlers, In Capable Hands, and Mike Bogdanski Martial Arts.

There was a terrific four-day horse show and four-day Pulling show. There were the antique machines and old cars, the crafts area, the rides, and the go-carts. You could find any kind of craft or food that you could desire. Find your favorite flavor of ice cream or try the maple popcorn or cotton candy.

You could go through the Agriculture Exhibition Building and make butter and try the Cabot cheese. Go over to the barns and watch the animals getting ready for the ring.

You could look at all the exhibits and think that you might like to enter next year.

There is more than enough to keep you busy for all four days. It may not be the biggest fair but it is one of the best.
